Job summary
Our Practice is looking to find a perfect fit for our current team - a Clinical Pharmacist who wants to work in a high achieving Practice with a superb local reputation. We expect the candidate to be forward thinking, a great team player, have excellent communication skills, and openness to working collaboratively with other colleagues in the Primary Care Network whilst retaining the essence of the Practice.
We welcome Practice visits to meet our team.

Main duties of the job
- Patient-facing role
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Chronic disease management
- Clinical medication reviews
- Medicines support
- Support with prescription and medication queries
- Clinical leadership on medicines optimisation and quality improvement
- Manage some aspects of Quality and Outcomes Framework and Enhanced Services
About us
We are a friendly, supportive team, based in Whalley with a branch site at Sabden, both situated in the beautiful Ribble Valley. We have 5 Partners, 5 Salaried GPs, ANP, a team of Practice Nurses and HCAs, and a large Reception and Admin team. We are a dispensing Practice and have an onsite dispensary at both sites - to give all of our patients a good quality experience at the surgery. We also have a Housebound Nursing Team of nursing professionals who work with our GPs to provide care to our care home and housebound patients.
We have a PCN team who work with our patients, including a Pharmacist, Pharmacy Techs, Care Co-ordinators, GP Assistants, and a Physio. We have a highly productive working relationship with the Practices within our PCN.
The team work well together, making the surgery a harmonious place to work. A healthy work/life balance is encouraged resulting in a content and productive team, and a positive atmosphere.
