We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker within our Substance Misuse team and HMP Moorland based near Hatfield, South Yorkshire.
HMP Moorland is a busy category C Male prison with a capacity for 1100.Hours
Mon - Fri 08:00-16:00 or 0730 - 1530 1 weekend in 4 with 2 days off during the week to compensate for the weekend
Salary
This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary from £29,23 to £33,510 per annum.

#LI-NB1Main duties of the job
As a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Provide outstanding evidence based care to a case load of psycho social patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
- You will provide a programme of psycho social interventions, along with information and advice on substance misuse, alcohol, smoking cession, blood borne viruses and safe sex practices.
- Undertaking assessments, clinics and looking after your own caseload.
- Second checking within pharmacy if needed.
- Deliver non-judgemental care on a one to one basis and through group work, supporting the nursing and pharmacy teams in primary care within healthcare centres and on wings and house blocks.
- Youll make a real difference as defined throughout our bespoke HiJ competency framework following our policies, procedures and always considering safeguarding.

- Relevant degree/qualification or equivalent experience within Substance Misuse or Psychosocial.
- Knowledge and experience in the provision of structured psycho social interventions
- Experience of working within the substance misuse multi-disciplinary frame work, that includes housing, social care, healthcare, and mental health pathways
