We are currently seeking a talented engineering professional to join their site operations in the stunning region of Argyll. Location: Argyll & Bute
Contract Duration: 21/09/2026 to 19/09/2027.
Working Hours: 9 hours per day, 45 hours per week.
Rate: Up to £500 per day Umbrella inside IR35.
About the Role:
In this position, you will be instrumental in driving technical excellence on-site. Your key accountabilities will include:

Supporting the senior project team in the overall implementation of the engineering strategy and framework for the designated project.

Managing materials, plant and labour within the allocated budget and resources, ensuring their safe, effective and efficient delivery of service on the project.

Ensuring that the engineering is efficiently managed so that it is fit for purpose from conception right through installation and maintenance.

Providing coaching and motivation to the project team, to deliver high performance on the project and create a culture of continuous improvement.

Ensuring all systems, design information, procedures and quality systems are effectively communicated.

Supporting the project delivery teams, verifying the work of others, providing technical support.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

A UK civils engineering back ground.

Previous engineering experience and a subject matter expert in the discipline of engineering.

A valid CSCS card is required.

An SSSTS certification and a Drivers license.
-
Good interpersonal and communication skills are required, coupled with an ability to form effective relationships with partners and delivery team members under time pressure.

A degree in a relevant engineering discipline and a relevant professional qualification, such as MICE or MIStructE, or having an ONC/HNC is desirable.
