Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a new Prosthetic clinician to join our existing team in the vibrant coastal city of Portsmouth. Portsmouth has easy transport links to London and is situated close to the Isle of Wight with access to the countryside (South Downs) within 3040 minutes for hiking, cycling, and weekend trips. The city has a combination of historic attractions, a vibrant social scene and holds regular arts, music, and sporting events.
Main duties of the job
A prosthetist designs, fabricates, and fits artificial limbs (prostheses) for patients who have experienced limb loss due to congenital conditions, amputation, or injury, helping them to regain mobility, function, and independence. Their role involves assessing patient needs, working with technicians to create custom-fit devices, and providing follow-up care to ensure proper fit and function.

Qualifications
Essential
- BSc Hons in Prosthetic and Orthotics or equivalent, required to qualify for HPCP registration
Desirable
- HPCP registered prosthetic clinician with some clinical experience desirable
Knowledge and skills
Desirable
- Experience in lower limb prosthetics and upper limb prosthetics prescribing
- Good computer skills and presentation skills
- Experience with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other MS Office products
- Experience with Cad system desirable
- Good communicator
