Job summary

Are you a skilled and compassionate Dietitian ready to play a crucial role in patient care? Join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and help us make a difference!

Main duties of the job

As a Specialist Dietitian, you will work autonomously to:

  • Perform therapeutic assessments and deliver tailored treatment programs.
  • Manage a diverse caseload with complex physical and psychological conditions.
  • Provide expert clinical advice, support, and training for colleagues and junior staff.
  • Contribute to the development of evidence-based interventions and innovative service improvements.
  • Support both inpatient and outpatient clinical caseload
  • You will be a vital member of the multidisciplinary team, ensuring a coordinated approach to patient care, and have opportunities to lead within neuro-rehabilitation dietetics as required.

To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

  • Degree/Diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics and HCPC registration. Evidence of postgraduate training in nutritional support is essential.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of treatment for paediatric dietetic conditions
  • Car owner/driver and access to car for work is essential
  • A broad range of clinical expertise, including managing complex caseloads, problem-solving, and effective multidisciplinary teamwork. Previous community work and supervisory experience are advantageous.
  • Advanced reasoning, excellent communication, and strong organizational abilities. You should be adept at managing emotional and distressing situations and working effectively under pressure.
  • In-depth understanding of relevant conditions, NHS developments, and evidence-based practice.
