Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and looking for a rewarding full-time role in Eastbourne?
Academics are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to work within welcoming primary and specialist schools across Eastbourne.
You will be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, which may include Autism, ADHD, SEMH, communication and learning difficulties, providing both 1:1 and small-group support.
The role:- Supporting pupils to access learning and the wider school environment
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support
- Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills
- Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Working closely with teachers and the school's SEN team
- Helping create a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN setting
- A patient, caring and supportive approach
- Confidence supporting children with additional needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for helping children reach their potential
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
