Job summary
Xyla Elective Care is seeking experienced Endoscopy Nurses to support weekend endoscopy and bowel screening services at Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care across admission, procedure support, and recovery stages of the patient pathway.
This is an ongoing weekend opportunity, working Saturdays and Sundays from 08:30 to 17:00, supporting three endoscopy rooms. The role offers a competitive rate of £308 per day, with travel and accommodation reimbursement of up to £50 per shift.
You will play a key role in ensuring safe, effective patient care while supporting Consultants during procedures, administering sedation, completing clinical documentation, and assisting with patient recovery.

- Registered Nurse (NMC Registered) with a valid UK nursing pin.
- Previous Endoscopy experience within an NHS or independent healthcare setting.
- Competent in patient assessment, observations, cannulation, and recovery care.
- Experience supporting endoscopic procedures and administering sedation.
- Strong understanding of infection prevention, patient safety, and clinical governance standards.
- Ability to complete accurate clinical documentation and maintain confidential patient records.
- Knowledge of the WHO Surgical Safety Checklist and endoscopy patient pathways.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to reassure and support patients.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a busy clinical environment.
- Flexible, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality patient-centred care.
