Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Brentwood, starting in September. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and looking to develop their career within a nurturing environment that offers strong support, training, and ongoing professional development.
The school is looking for a committed practitioner with excellent behaviour management skills, patience, and a genuine desire to help pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
CONTRACT DETAILS- Location - Brentwood
- Position - SEN Teaching Assistant
- Type of work - SEN support within the classroom and on a 1:1 or small-group basis
- Start date - September
- Duration - Ongoing / Long-term
- Full time/part-time - Full time
- Rate of pay - £90-£110 per day (depending on experience)
- Hours - 08:30am - 15:45pm
- Experience supporting children with SEN in a UK school setting (placements accepted)
- Experience working with pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or other additional needs is desirable
- Relevant TA, SEN, or childcare qualifications desirable
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable)
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
- Provide two professional child-related references
