Job summary
Occupational Therapist Regional Environmental Control Service North East London NHS Foundation Trust We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Regional Environmental Control Service team at Mayflower Community Hospital. This permanent, part-time role offers 22.5 hours per week and falls under Band 7, with a salary range of £49,397£56,515 (pro-rated for part-time hours)
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity to provide highly specialised Occupational Therapy interventions to a diverse caseload in the community. You will play a pivotal role in supporting clients with severe and complex disabilities, as well as those with terminal illnesses, through the assessment, prescription, and provision of Environmental Control Systems. Your expertise will contribute to improving quality of life and promoting independence. Deliver highly specialised neurological Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions tailored to individual client needs, including handling skills, cognitive/perceptual evaluations, and patient-specific positioning. Assess, prescribe, and provide Environmental Control Systems to clients, including children, individuals with complex disabilities, and those with terminal illnesses. Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic, person-centred care and service delivery. Essential Skills and Qualifications Experience in prescribing highly specialised equipment and applying the Occupational Therapy process effectively. Evidence of supervising other Occupational Therapists, clerical staff, and students, as well as contributing to service development programmes.
