Job summary
This role is open to all applicants. However, in line with Cornwall First recruitment principles, initial shortlisting will prioritise applicants from Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust, Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, and the Integrated Care Board for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
The Research & Development Team are looking for a dedicated individual to manage external and internal research engagement communications for the Commercial Research Delivery Centre in relation to the patient and public involvement & engagement (PPIE) activities and work with our clinicians, researchers and members of the public to facilitate and increase PPIE throughout the community. The role will include promoting and protecting the reputation of the CRDC and to facilitate the delivery of effective communication with colleagues working across our locations. The role would involve working with a wide range of audiences and uses different communication channels to keep messages relevant, appealing and informative.

Main duties of the job
To provide an excellent research engagement service by carrying out and leading on a range of communications activities including PPIE in research across Cornwall
To improve and enhance the Trust's internal and external communications in relation to research engagement and PPIE through a range of channels, producing written and video content, whilst engaging with the public
Promoting a positive research image of the Trust to staff, the media and key stakeholders, ensuring messages are communicated in an effective and timely manner.
