Development Opportunity:Are you passionate about supporting people on their recovery journey? We are looking for a Recovery Coordinator (Band 5) to join our well-established Drug and Alcohol Services team. This is a key role in delivering structured treatment and recovery support for individuals affected by substance misuse, including those prescribed opioid substitution therapy (OST).What We're Looking ForExperience in substance misuse services or related health/social care settings.Strong understanding of recovery-focused approaches and harm reduction.Excellent communication and organisational skills.Ability to manage complex caseloads and work collaboratively with partners.Knowledge of national guidance and clinical governance requirements.

Main duties of the job

What you'll do:

• Manage a caseload of clients with complex needs, including those prescribed OST.
• Complete comprehensive assessments, risk management plans, and recovery plans.
• Deliver structured psychosocial interventions (PSI) and facilitate group work.
• Conduct regular care planning and reviews in line with national guidance.
• Work closely with multi-agency partners to provide holistic support.
• Contribute to safeguarding processes and risk escalation where required.

• Foundation Degree / HNC in related field which may include counselling, social work, nursing, psychology, human resources, social studies or equivalent experience

Experience

Essential

• Considerable experience of working with drug users.
• A commitment to and understanding of harm reduction & recovery approaches to working with drug users.
• Counselling skills, case management experience & the ability to work under pressure.
• A sound experience of working with techniques such as CBT, Motivational interviewing and Solution focused therapy

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Essential

• A thorough knowledge of substances and their effects
• Ability to work with drug/alcohol users in a community environment
• Ability to work under pressure
• The ability to work flexibly across the county and adapt to meet the needs to the service
