Wheel Support / PDI Technician

£14.00 per hour PAYE
Monday - Thursday: 6:15am - 3:15pm
Friday: 6:15am - 11:15am
Location: Gaydon, Warwickshire

Planet Recruitment are currently recruiting for Wheel Support / PDI Technicians to join a busy automotive manufacturing environment in Gaydon.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with previous experience in automotive, production, vehicle preparation or quality inspection. You will be working as part of a fast-paced production team, supporting vehicle build operations and ensuring high standards of quality are maintained.

• Follow daily production and launch-to-line plans.
• Organise and sequence wheels for delivery directly to the production line.
• Identify and resolve sequencing issues before wheels reach the fit station.
• Inspect wheels for defects and source suitable alternatives where required.
• Support Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) activities.
• Carry out visual quality checks and report any defects or concerns.
• Ensure vehicles meet the required quality standards prior to release.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Escalate any issues promptly to minimise disruption to production.
• Work effectively as part of a busy manufacturing and production team.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience within automotive, manufacturing, production, PDI or vehicle preparation.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• A proactive approach to problem solving.
• The ability to follow production plans and adapt to changing priorities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A reliable and positive approach to work.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
