Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, 5 days a week

Aspire People have partnered with an Alternative Provision setting in Leicester who are looking for an experienced and resilient Alternative Provision Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This role is ideal for someone who has experience working with children and young people who may have additional needs, challenging behaviour, SEMH needs or barriers to mainstream education.
You will play an important role in helping pupils re-engage with education, develop their confidence and make positive progress.
About the Role
As an Alternative Provision Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils
Support children and young people with a range of additional needs
Help pupils overcome barriers to learning
Build positive and trusting relationships with students
Support behaviour management and emotional regulation
Encourage pupils to engage positively with their education
Help create a calm, structured and supportive environment
Assist teachers with lessons and activities
Support pupils with their social, emotional and personal development
Work closely with teaching staff and the wider support team
We're Looking For
The successful candidate must have previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN, SEMH, behaviour, alternative provision or similar setting.
You will also need to be:
Patient, calm and resilient
Confident supporting challenging behaviour
Able to build strong relationships with pupils
Consistent and confident when setting boundaries
Adaptable and able to respond to different individual needs
Passionate about helping young people succeed
Reliable and committed to working 5 days a week
