Job summary
The Catering Department at Withybush General Hospital is currently looking to recruit a Catering Assistant who would like to join a large team of individuals within the department in providing an effective and efficient cleaning and catering service.
The contract currently available is 1 x 12 hour post. This contract is 3 days per week, 4 hours per day, Monday to Sunday. These hours may vary to reflect the needs of the service. Some weekend work - 2 week rolling rota. 1 weekend off in 2.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will play an integral role within the team in ensuring the department is cleaned to the highest standard. Also, there is some servery work where the successful candidate will be face to face with visitors, staff and patients in our canteen serving meals and dealing with cash and card payments.
Candidates will receive uniform and full training.
The candidates should be able to work as part of a team and communicate well with colleagues, staff and visitors alike.
You will need to work within the hospital's policies and procedures and uphold the values of Hywel Dda University Health Board at all times.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties.
We have over 13,000 staff and together we provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services.
We work in partnership with the three local authorities, as well as public, private and third sector colleagues, including our valued team of volunteers.

- Two integrated care centres: Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion, and several other community settings
- 47 general practices (six of which are health board managed practices); dental practices (including four orthodontic); 97 community pharmacies; 43 general ophthalmic practices; and 8 ophthalmic domiciliary providers
- Numerous mental health and learning disabilities services
