Cardiff and Vale University Health Board Commercial Medicines Access Technical Analyst

Job summary
Due to the expansion of our current service, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Medicines Access Technical Analyst to join the All Wales Therapeutics and Toxicology Centre (AWTTC).
Working in close collaboration with the Medicines Value Unit (MVU), you will play a key role as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on improving the efficiency and timeliness of medicines access across Wales. This work will support all university health boards and the trust in Wales to deliver safe, high-quality services and contribute to the cost-effective use of medicines.
This post would suit someone with experience of working in a pharmacy environment, with strong attention to detail and confidence using spreadsheets. Essential skills include the ability to work with a range of datasets, identify opportunities to improve medicines access across Wales, communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders and apply strong problem-solving skills. The role offers a unique opportunity to work at a national level as part of a small, friendly team. If you have a keen interest in helping to optimise medicines use within NHS Wales, this could be the role for you.
The post is currently advertised on a fixed-term or secondment basis while a business case is developed to secure permanent funding for this critical role.
Main duties of the job
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
This post is fixed term/secondment for 2 years due to - meet the needs of the service.
