Job summary
Hourly Rate: £12.75
28.5 hours a week
Following a retirement, we are looking for two competent, reliable and enthusiastic persons to join our Practice Team.
Experience of working in a GP surgery, the use of Emis and Welsh speaking are all desirable.
The successful candidates will work to a set weekly rota, but with the expectation of working additional hours to cover for annual leave and sickness.
Post one: Monday 8.00 - 17.30, Tuesday 8.30 - 18.30, Thursday 8.00 - 17.00
Post two: Tuesday 8.00 - 17.30, Wednesday 8.30 - 18.30, Friday 8.30 - 17.30
Duties include general reception work, answering phones, booking appointments, efficiently dealing with patients and signposting where appropriate, processing prescription requests, managing workflow, communicating in a courteous, clear and concise manner with GP's, other healthcare professional working both in the practice and externally, patients and other service providers and stakeholder and a number of other administrative duties.
Applicants must be a team player and have to cover annual leave and sickness if required.
Main duties of the job
Reporting to the Senior Receptionist and Practice Manager the successful candidates will perform a variety of duties as outlined in the attached Job Description.

Aberystwyth is a university town which is also home to Welsh Government offices, Ceredigion County Council headquarters and the National Library of Wales. There are excellent primary and secondary schools in the area, along with numerous cultural and outdoor amenities including a leading arts centre, mounting biking, walking and numerous water sports.
