Interim Tax Manager

Butler Rose is recruiting an experienced Tax Manager for a period of 6 months for a large and complex organisation in Plymouth. This is a key role, responsible for overseeing tax compliance, reporting and advisory activities while supporting senior stakeholders across the business and offers hybrid working.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the tax team.
• Manage all tax compliance and reporting requirements.
• Support year-end accounts, audits and subsidiary reporting.
• Provide expert tax advice and ensure compliance with changing legislation.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and optimise tax efficiency.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and contribute to strategic decision-making.

About you:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with tax qualification (CTA, ATT) beneficial but not essential.
• Significant tax accounting and compliance experience.
• Strong technical tax knowledge and problem-solving skills.
• Experience leading teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Able to communicate complex tax matters clearly to non-finance colleagues.
