Capital Accountant

I’m currently working with a Local Authority in the East Midlands on the recruitment of an Interim Capital Accountant to support their finance team on a key programme of capital projects for 3-6 months.

The role will involve:

• Supporting the Council’s capital programme and capital financing activities

• Providing financial advice and challenge to budget holders and project teams

• Capital monitoring, forecasting and reporting

• Assisting with year-end accounts and statutory reporting

• Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation

This role will be negotiable on the day rate inside IR35.

We are keen to speak with candidates who have local government finance experience, particularly within capital accounting, CIPFA regulations, and capital programme management.
