We're delighted to be supporting a high-growth, private equity-backed service business in Cardiff with the appointment of a Finance Administrator.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation at an important stage of its development. Reporting into the finance team, you'll have the opportunity to gain broad exposure across the function and develop your skills within a fast-paced and commercially focused environment.
The opportunityAs Finance Administrator, you'll support the smooth running of the day-to-day finance function, working closely with the wider finance team and colleagues across the business.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing sales and purchase invoices
- Maintaining accurate financial records and finance systems
- Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Allocating and reconciling payments
- Assisting with bank reconciliations
- Supporting credit control and dealing with customer queries
- Processing employee expenses
- Assisting with month-end activities
- Preparing finance information and reports
- Responding to finance-related queries from internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks and process improvements
We're looking for an organised and detail-focused individual who is keen to build a career in finance.
You may already have experience in a finance administration, accounts or transactional finance role, or you could be looking to take the next step following a relevant qualification or study.
You'll need:
- Previous experience within a finance or accounts environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good numerical and analytical skills
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- Excellent organisation and time management
- Strong communication skills
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
AAT study or experience with accounting software would be advantageous, but is not essential.
