Immediate Start AvailableWe are currently recruiting for a Quality Controller to join our client in East Hull on an 8-week temporary assignment.
This role will focus on inspecting imported confectionery products to ensure that only goods meeting the required quality standards are approved for onward distribution to major retail networks across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail who enjoys working in a quality-focused environment and making informed decisions based on product standards.
Key Responsibilities- Inspecting imported confectionery products and packaging for quality issues
- Opening and checking product samples against customer specifications
- Assessing the appearance, condition and presentation of products
- Identifying defects, damage, contamination or packaging concerns
- Making quality pass/fail decisions in line with agreed standards
- Taking photographs of products and recording inspection findings
- Completing quality reports and documentation accurately
- Escalating quality concerns where required
- Monitoring trends and recurring issues to support continuous improvement
- Working closely with internal teams to ensure products are fit for distribution
- Maintaining a clean and organised inspection area
- Previous experience within Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Warehousing, Production or Manufacturing would be advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confident making decisions based on quality standards
- Competent using computers to complete reports and upload photographs
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Able to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Reliable and professional with a positive attitude
- £15.00 per hour
- 8-week assignment
- Part-time hours: 6 hours per day, 4 days per week
