Position Details

• Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
• Location: Folkestone, Kent
• Contract Length: Initially 9 months
• Start Date: ASAP
• Pay Rate: £24.87 per hour (£54,000 annual equivalent)
• Hours: 42 hours per week
  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00am to 5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:00am to 4:00pm
  • 30-minute lunch break

About the Role

Based at a busy manufacturing site, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production and plant equipment, helping to drive efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives and automation developments.

Working as part of a small engineering team, you'll carry out both planned and reactive maintenance activities, ensure plant equipment operates within specification, and support production by prioritising engineering tasks effectively while maintaining high Health & Safety and Quality standards.

What We're Looking For

• Extensive experience working with processing and packaging machinery
• Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
• Electrical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving PLC and robotic equipment issues
• Strong background in reactive, planned, preventative and predictive maintenance
• Knowledge of continuous improvement and SMED projects
• Understanding of COSHH regulations
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge or qualifications would be advantageous
