Project Manager – 6-month contract – Remote/Manchester
Our longstanding utilities client is looking for an experienced Business Change Project Manager to join a major regulatory compliance programme.
This role is centred on driving business change, helping operational teams adopt structured project delivery while leading multiple workstreams across a high-profile NIS compliance programme.
This is an ideal opportunity for a Project Manager with experience delivering change in a regulated environment, particularly within utilities, energy or critical infrastructure.
The Project Manager can work remote with ad hoc travel to site when required.
Key Experience from the Project Manager:
- Proven Project Management experience delivering business change initiatives.
- Experience working within a regulated industry, ideally utilities or energy.
- NIS, cyber security, operational resilience or information security programmes would be beneficial.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage senior business leaders.
- Experience managing multiple projects within a larger programme environment.
- Strong governance, planning and reporting capabilities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project, SharePoint and project governance processes.
- Ability to work across both business and technical teams without needing to be a technical specialist.
Key Responsibilities of the Project Manager:
- Lead multiple business change projects within a wider regulatory programme.
- Drive project governance, planning and delivery across several workstreams.
- Build and maintain project plans, milestones, risks and executive reporting.
- Work closely with operational and technical teams to embed project management best practice.
- Challenge and influence stakeholders to support successful organisational change.
- Manage risks, dependencies and governance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with programme leadership to ensure successful delivery against regulatory objectives.
