Finance Manager

We are recruiting a Finance Manager for an interim position in Wickford for a minimum term of 3 months.

The Finance Manager is responsible for managing the financial operations of the company, overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and providing insights to improve financial performance. The role involves providing strategic guidance to the board of directors and the management team and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities:

• To be adequately trained to be the number 2 in the department with a ACCA or CIMA qualification
• To produce monthly management accounts for the group of companies with analysis and commentary including balance sheet, cashflow and profit and loss
• Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and have relevant commentary
• Develop, create and implement a monthly financial directors report
• Assist with producing, reviewing and managing the annual budget and interim budgets
• Contributing to organisational business planning
• Produce any other required budgets, costings, forecasts and estimates to support the development of the company
• Hold quarterly meetings with budget holders to discuss performance
• Provide support in any potential business acquisitions
• Process monthly payroll for the group of companies
• Prepare draft statutory annual accounts for delivery to external accountants and leading on provision of information to support their planning and work
• Quarterly VAT return for the group of companies
• Supervision of the Finance team
• Responsibility of the purchase ledger for the group of companies
• Weekly/monthly supplier payment runs
• Bank reconciliations
• ONS surveys
• Review financial controls, developing financial policies and procedures
• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and associated regulatory standards
• Streamlining and improving accounting systems and operations
• Take customer payments over the phone via credit card if required

There is a posibility that this could become a permanent job.
