We are looking for a compassionate, motivated and resilient Mental Health & Substance Use Support Worker to join a dedicated team supporting adults in Swansea.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work alongside individuals experiencing mental health difficulties and/or challenges associated with substance use, helping them build confidence, develop independence and move towards positive change.
About the role
As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support tailored to each individual’s needs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Building trusting and supportive relationships with service users.
- Providing practical and emotional support with day-to-day living.
- Supporting individuals to manage their mental health and substance use.
- Encouraging independence, wellbeing and personal development.
- Helping service users access relevant health, social and community services.
- Supporting individuals to work towards agreed goals and recovery plans.
- Recognising and responding appropriately to changes in wellbeing or risk.
- Maintaining accurate records and working effectively with colleagues and external professionals.
- A driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this position.
- 8:00am – 4:30pm
- 12:30pm – 9:00pm
- 8:00am – 9:00pm (long day)
