Interim senior financial accountant

• Interim Senior Financial Accountant | 10-Month Contract | Outside IR35
• South-West: 2 days needed on site
• £500 per day
• October 2026-July 2027 (with potential for a small extension)
  
  A large and complex UK organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join the finance team on an interim basis during a critical reporting period.
  
  This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant who enjoys operating in a sizeable, multi-entity environment and working closely with senior finance stakeholders.
  
  Key Responsibilities
  Lead statutory accounts preparation and year-end reporting activities
  Prepare and review consolidated financial statements
  Manage and coordinate external audit processes
  Deliver high-quality technical accounting support and advice
  Support improvements to financial reporting processes and controls
  Build strong relationships across the wider finance function and senior stakeholders
  
  What We're Looking For
  ACA / ACCA qualified accountant
  Strong statutory accounting and financial reporting experience
  Proven consolidation experience within larger, complex organisations
  Confident in managing external audit relationships
  Advanced Excel skills with strong attention to detail
  Experience operating within sizeable corporate, public sector or complex organisational environments
  
  Additional Information
  *Charity sector experience is not essential but would be desirable/ useful
  *Strong technical accounting and reporting expertise is the priority
  *Hybrid working 2 days per week in the office
