Interim Group Management Accountant

KCR Solutions are delighted to be assisting and excellent client based in Middlesbrough to recruit an Interim Group Management Accountant. You will support the finance function by producing accurate financial and management information, leading budgeting and forecasting activities, and supporting year-end reporting and audit processes. The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation and help drive continuous improvement within the finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts, financial reports and analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and scenario modelling activities.
• Review financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
• Oversee VAT returns and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Support year-end accounts preparation and external audits.
• Provide financial business partnering and advice to operational managers.
• Line manage finance team members and support workload planning.
• Contribute to process improvements, reporting enhancements and financial efficiencies.

Person Specification

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Experience producing management accounts and financial reports.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis skills.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and auditors.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
