The Role
As a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals experiencing a range of mental health conditions and challenges. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while promoting recovery, independence, and wellbeing.
Working on an agency basis, you will have the opportunity to gain experience across various settings, including acute mental health wards, psychiatric intensive care units (PICU), rehabilitation services, community teams, forensic environments, and specialist mental health services.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering safe, effective, and compassionate mental health nursing care
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
- Building therapeutic relationships with patients and their families
- Managing and de-escalating challenging situations when required
- Administering medication safely and in accordance with NMC guidelines
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Supporting patients through their recovery journey
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, clinical governance, and professional standards
- Promoting dignity, respect, and patient-centred care at all times
What We're Looking For
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:
- A valid NMC registration with no restrictions
- A minimum of 1 year's post-registration experience as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
- Strong clinical knowledge and assessment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- A compassionate and patient-focused approach
- The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- The legal Right to Work in the UK
DBS Requirements
A DBS registered on the Update Service is preferred.
