Every activity is tailored to the individuals interests, helping them live life to the fullest and achieve their personal goals.The person you will be supporting is a gentleman who has a diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome and Depressive Disorder. He is highly independent and values maintaining control over his daily life while having consistent support available when needed. The role is focused on promoting wellbeing, encouraging community engagement, providing emotional support, and helping him to maintain his independence.

Main duties of the job

As a Support Worker at Agincare Dorchester, your role involves supporting a gentleman diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome and Depressive Disorder. The position focuses on promoting wellbeing, fostering community engagement, and providing emotional support to maintain his independence. You will work with him to build confidence and encourage activities that align with his interests and personal goals. The job offers flexibility, with responsibilities ranging from in-home support to accompanying him on outings and holidays. • A calm, patient and caring approach with the willingness to learn and build trust
• Previous experience in a care or support role preferred
• A team player who values consistency
• A Full UK driving licence
• At least 12 months remaining on your right to work in the UK
• Excellent career development opportunities and fully funded training up to QCF Level 5

• Provide person-centred support and personal care
• Encourage activities and meaningful experiences
• Support communication in a way that works for them
• Follow care plans and maintain accurate records
• Promote independence, safety, and well-being
