An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Senior Physiotherapist to join our busy Physiotherapy Department at Colchester Oaks Hospital. Our people are our greatest asset, enabling us to deliver high-quality healthcare.
You will manage a varied caseload, including postoperative orthopaedic and general musculoskeletal patients. You will contribute across pre-assessment and inpatients, providing seamless care throughout the patient journey. Support for a 7-day service and out-of-hours work, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, is required.
This role offers the chance to develop a specialist interest in upper limb and hand rehabilitation, collaborating with orthopaedic consultants and colleagues to assess and treat patients with upper limb, hand, and wrist conditions.

What you'll bring with you:
- A degree (or equivalent qualification) in Physiotherapy
- HCPC Registration
- Excellent clinical reasoning and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively
- A good understanding of CSP Standards of Physiotherapy Practice and the HCPC Rules of Professional Conduct
- Evidence of commitment to ongoing CPD
- An interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, including upper limb and hand rehabilitation
The Person
You are passionate about helping patients recover and maintain health. With experience in outpatient musculoskeletal caseloads, you can deliver training and supervise junior staff. An interest in upper limb and hand physiotherapy is desirable.
