Job summary
Please note - this post is a fixed term post and will end on 2 February 2027
The post is based with the adult community mental health team based at Colburn Medical Centre.
Work will include thediagnosis and management of new and follow up patients referred to the service.
You will work holistically with the patient and carer with a view to treating the patient in the best way possible and looking after any carer related issues.
Main duties of the job
Assess and manage common psychiatric emergencies and conditions.
Be aware of the procedures for assessment and implementation of detaining /admitting patients under the Mental Health Act.
Make appropriate referral to other professionals.
Work with colleagues within the multi-disciplinary setting
Participate in the resident doctor on-call rota
