Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive SEN primary school in Radcliffe, seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from September.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work with pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
The Role
As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
- Work closely with teachers and the wider SEN team to deliver personalised learning programmes.
- Support pupils with their social, emotional, and communication development.
- Encourage independence while promoting a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.
- Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will:
- Have experience working with children with special educational needs, either in a school or similar setting.
- Be patient, caring, and committed to helping every child succeed.
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Be proactive, flexible, and able to adapt to the individual needs of pupils.
- Hold a Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience (desirable but not essential).
