We're looking for a QTS-qualified English Tutor to support children and young people across Wiltshire through personalised 1:1 tuition.
Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll provide tailored support to learners who require alternative educational provision. Students may be of varying ages and abilities, with many benefiting from individualised learning designed to improve literacy, strengthen communication skills, build confidence, and re-engage them with education.
This role offers the opportunity to focus on high-quality teaching without the demands of a full classroom, allowing you to make a direct impact on each learner's progress.

Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting
- Experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring, learning support, or similar educational roles
- Strong English subject knowledge
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons
- Experience supporting students with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Patient, adaptable, and learner-focused approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally within Wiltshire

You'll work with children and young people who may have:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- ADHD
- Anxiety and school avoidance
- EHCPs and additional educational needs
Many learners require a consistent and supportive tutor who can help them develop confidence, improve engagement, and achieve positive outcomes in English.
