We are looking for a compassionate, motivated and resilient Mental Health & Substance Use Support Worker to join a dedicated team supporting adults in Swansea.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work alongside individuals experiencing mental health difficulties and/or challenges associated with substance use, helping them build confidence, develop independence and move towards positive change.

About the role
As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support tailored to each individual’s needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building trusting and supportive relationships with service users.
  • Providing practical and emotional support with day-to-day living.
  • Supporting individuals to manage their mental health and substance use.
  • Encouraging independence, wellbeing and personal development.
  • Helping service users access relevant health, social and community services.
  • Supporting individuals to work towards agreed goals and recovery plans.
  • Recognising and responding appropriately to changes in wellbeing or risk.
  • Maintaining accurate records and working effectively with colleagues and external professionals.
  • A driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this position.
Typical shift times are:
  • 8:00am – 4:30pm
  • 12:30pm – 9:00pm
  • 8:00am – 9:00pm (long day)
