We need a project officer to support delivery of a multi-agency data and improvement project. The postholder will manage the coordination of the project, including project governance, stakeholder engagement and information governance support, working with Children's Services, Education, Information Governance, IT, and partner agencies to enable delivery of the project. The role will coordinate data requests, project planning, reporting, risks, actions and approvals, ensuring the project is delivered to agreed timescales. Subject to capacity, the postholder will also provide project support across wider Children's Services Improvement work.
Roles and responsibilities:
Coordinate project governance arrangements, meetings, workshops and data requests.
Maintain project plans, risk logs, action logs, decision logs and project reporting.
Liaise with stakeholders across Children's Services, Education, Information Governance, IT and partner organisations to exchange information, resolve queries and support delivery.
Monitor project milestones, dependencies and risks, escalating issues where appropriate.
Support validation and evaluation activity associated with the proof of concept.
Provide project guidance and advice to colleagues and stakeholders involved in the project, supporting effective governance, information sharing and delivery.
Provide project support across the wider Improvement Team portfolio where required.
Qualifications and skills:
Recognised vocational or professional qualification plus experience of project management, and/or degree qualified.
May be working towards a professional qualification or be of graduate entry level with practical experience.
Experience of supporting projects; coordinating stakeholders, meetings, actions and project documentation
Project management qualification (PRINCE2 Foundation, APM or equivalent) desirable but not required.
Demonstrates effective organisational skills and prioritises activities to meet tight deadlines.
Demonstrates clear and concise communication skills, proven to meet differing audience's needs.
Positive approach to solving problems creatively.
An ability to develop good working relationships with internal colleagues as well as external partners and stakeholders is vital to ensure that project work is delivered on time and to specification.
