Community Sports Coach

Fixed term Contract until 29/02/2028
Play a key role in helping more people become active by delivering high quality sport and physical activity opportunities across Northumberland's PlayZones and community venues.
You'll plan and lead engaging sessions, build positive relationships with local organisations, schools and communities, and inspire people of all ages and abilities to take part in sport. Working as part of a small, ambitious Sports Development Team, you'll help create welcoming, inclusive opportunities that leave a lasting impact in local communities.
This role is based across community venues in Ashington, Newbiggin, Choppington, Bedlington, Blyth and Cramlington with a mixture of daytime, evening and weekend working.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB
- Level 2 National Governing Body coaching qualification (or equivalent recognised sports coaching qualification).
- Full UK driving licence with access to transport to travel across venues.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Valid First Aid qualification and an up to date safeguarding qualification (or willingness to obtain before commencing the role).
- Enthusiastic, organised and confident communicator with experience of delivering inclusive sport and physical activity sessions.
