About this job
Case Officer - Crisis & Resilience FundRole Responsibility
An exciting opportunity has arisen for 8 Crisis Support Team Case Officers to join Kent County Council's Financial Hardship Programme.
This is a newly established team, offering a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping how crisis support is delivered across Kent. You will be part of a service designed to respond quickly and fairly to residents in need, with a strong focus on making a meaningful difference from day one.
You will be joining at an important stage in the development of the Crisis and Resilience Fund, helping to build a responsive, resident-focused service from the ground up. This is an opportunity to develop strong casework, decision-making and partnership-working skills while contributing to a programme that supports some of Kent's most vulnerable residents.
These roles sit at the heart of the Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF), supporting residents at some of the most difficult points in their lives. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are motivated by making a genuine difference and who have a strong desire to help people navigate financial hardship with dignity, empathy and practical support.
These are full-time, fixed-term positions until March 2028, working in a hybrid format, with the base being Sessions House, Maidstone. As a team, we are committed to providing a flexible approach to when, where and how our team works. Secondment opportunities are also available to internal candidates, but please seek agreement from your current manager before applying.
We are looking for people who are calm under pressure, organised, empathetic and motivated by helping residents access the right support at the right time.
The Financial Hardship Programme delivers a range of support to residents facing financial hardship, including crisis support, referrals into wider services, and partnership working across Kent.
