**Location:** Prestwick, Ayrshire
**Hours:** 37 hours per week (half-day Friday)
**Type:** 1 Permanent Full-Time Position and 2 Fixed-Term Positions Available
**Travel Required:** Occasional
**Work Location:** Primarily site-based

Prestwick Aerosystems is proud to continue Ayrshire's long-standing aircraft manufacturing heritage. From our Prestwick site, we manufacture major aircraft wing structures used on Airbus commercial aircraft worldwide. As part of the Airbus family, we play a key role in delivering safe, reliable and high-quality aerospace products.

We currently have **one permanent full-time Senior Buyer role and two fixed-term Senior Buyer opportunities available** within our Commercial team.

As a Senior Buyer, you will play an important role in ensuring materials, services and supplier partnerships support the delivery of world-class aerospace products. Working across an international supply chain, you will help drive commercial performance, support operational requirements and contribute to the continued success of our manufacturing operations.

**How you will contribute to the team**

You will:
* Manage strategic suppliers, monitor supplier performance and support commercial reviews across the supply base.
* Lead supplier negotiations to secure value, manage commercial risk and support business objectives.
* Conduct supplier selection and sourcing activities in line with operational and strategic requirements.
* Support supplier development, performance improvement and procurement initiatives across multiple functions.

**Requirements for the role**

You will have:
* Experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain management within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment.
* An understanding of supplier management, sourcing activities and commercial negotiations.
* Knowledge of contract management and commercial processes.
* Experience managing supplier relationships and supporting cost, quality and performance improvement activities.
