Are you an experienced, resilient Children's Social Worker looking for a rewarding statutory locum role in South Yorkshire?
We are currently recruiting a skilled Children's Social Worker to join the East Help & Protection Team based in Doncaster. Offering a competitive pay rate of £35.00 per hour, this role is ideal for practitioners who thrive in statutory child protection settings and are passionate about delivering positive outcomes for children and families.
Key Responsibilities:-
Case Management: Hold and manage a varied statutory caseload of children and families subject to Child in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP) plans.

Assessments & Planning: Complete timely, high-quality Child and Family Assessments, robust risk management plans, and outcome-focused intervention strategies.

Safeguarding Enquiries: Lead on Section 47 safeguarding enquiries, court reports, and pre-proceedings (PLO) where required.

Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work closely with schools, health partners, police, and early intervention services to ensure wrap-around support for children.

Professional Registration: Active registration with Social Work England (SWE).

Core Experience: Proven post-qualifying experience within a statutory Child Protection, Assessment, or Family Support & Protection team.

Legal Knowledge: In-depth working knowledge of the Children Act 1989/2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and court frameworks.

Key Skills: Excellent analytical report-writing abilities, strong communication, and resilience under pressure.
