We are currently recruiting Manufacturing Operatives to join a successful and well-established manufacturing business in Hull. Working within a busy and supportive team, you will play a key role in the manufacture and quality assurance of high-quality plastic components used across a range of industries.
Key Responsibilities- Operate injection moulding machinery and associated production equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor production processes to ensure output meets required quality and performance standards.
- Carry out visual inspections and quality checks on finished products.
- Trim, assemble, package, and prepare products for dispatch.
- Identify and report faults, defects, or production issues to supervisors.
- Complete production records and documentation accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards across the production area.
- Follow health, safety, and company procedures at all times.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and team leaders to achieve daily production targets.
- Assist with machine changeovers and basic equipment checks where required.
- Handle materials and stock safely in line with company procedures.
This role operates on a rotating three-week shift pattern:
- Week 1: Early Shift: 6:00am - 2:15pm
- Week 2: Late Shift: 2:00pm - 10:15pm
- Week 3: Night Shift: 10:00pm - 6:15am
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, factory, or warehouse environment is advantageous but not essential.
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible in approach to work.
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow established processes.
- Ability to work rotating shifts on a full-time basis.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices within a production environment would be beneficial.
