Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and proactive working Supervisor to join our Retail Catering Team. We are looking for an energetic and highly organised individual with a passion for customer service and team leadership to support the efficient operation of the TLC Restaurant and other catering outlets throughout the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will lead from the front, inspiring colleagues and ensuring the delivery of a high-quality catering service every day.

The successful candidate will be a hardworking, dependable and proactive individual with a keen eye for detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment. You will be confident in prioritising workloads, making sound decisions under pressure, and ensuring high standards are consistently maintained across all areas of operation.

As a supervisor, you will be responsible for effectively delegating tasks, supporting and motivating team members, and taking ownership of day-to-day service delivery. A strong commitment to maintaining safe working practices, quality standards and operational excellence is essential.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are key to this role. You will be an enthusiastic team player, capable of building positive working relationships with colleagues, patients, visitors and stakeholders. Flexibility, professionalism and a customer-focused approach are vital, along with a passion for delivering outstanding service.

Experience of using Microsoft Office applications would be advantageous, as would previous experience of managing and developing large teams within a busy service environment.

Previous supervisory experience is essential, together with a commitment to delivering high-quality customer care and supporting continuous service improvement.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week over 5 days; this will include working 2 out of 3 weekends. 7.5 hour shifts are between the hours of 7.00am - 8.00pm. Unsocial enhancements are paid.
