About the role

We are looking to recruit a Casual/Relief Cleaner to undertake a range of cleaning duties at Llangwyryfon Primary School, providing cover as and when required to help ensure the school is maintained in a clean, safe and hygienic condition.

The purpose of the role is to carry out cleaning tasks to a high standard, contributing to a safe, welcoming and hygienic environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

Whilst previous cleaning experience and knowledge of Health and Safety procedures would be advantageous, full training will be provided.

We are looking for a reliable, motivated and enthusiastic individual with a flexible approach to work. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential, as hours will vary depending on the needs of the service.

On a day-to-day basis, duties may include:

  • Cleaning, washing, sweeping and vacuuming designated areas.
  • Emptying litter bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
  • Damp wiping and dusting surfaces, fixtures and fittings.
  • Cleaning toilet and washroom facilities.
  • Using cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school.
