Wolves at Work is a successful employment support and job brokerage service helping residents across Wolverhampton access, secure and sustain meaningful employment. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Work Coach to join the team on a temporary basis. The role will be fully onsite 5 days a week.
You must have experience having worked as a Work Coach, Employment Advisor, Employment Coach, Job Coach, Careers Advisor, Restart Advisor or in a similar employability-focused position.
The RoleAs a Work Coach, you will manage a caseload of residents, providing tailored support to help them overcome barriers to employment and progress into sustainable work. You will deliver one-to-one coaching, employability support and ongoing guidance, helping customers build their confidence, develop their skills and achieve their career goals.
You'll work closely with local employers, training providers and support organisations, creating opportunities for residents while supporting businesses with their recruitment needs.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of residents seeking employment or career progression.
- Conduct initial assessments and develop personalised action plans.
- Provide CV, job search, application and interview support.
- Deliver outreach activities within local communities to engage residents who may benefit from the service.
- Support customers facing barriers to employment, including health conditions, skills gaps and social exclusion.
- Work closely with employers to identify suitable job opportunities.
- Provide in-work support to help customers sustain employment.
- Maintain accurate records and update case management systems.
- Work towards contractual targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Build strong relationships with local partners, stakeholders and community organisations.
We're looking for someone with:
- Previous experience working as a Work Coach or in a similar employment support role.
- Experience managing a caseload and supporting individuals into employment.
- Strong coaching, motivational and communication skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- The ability to support people with a wide range of needs and barriers.
- Good IT skills and confidence using digital systems and online job search tools.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- A genuine passion for helping people improve their lives through employment.
- Must be able to reliably commute to or work within Wolverhampton.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- Must be willing to undergo a Standard DBS check.
- Available to start around 1st October.
- Experience within DWP, employability, welfare-to-work or related employment support programmes
